We in St.Michael’s give much importance to community services especially volunteering our children as it is an essential part of preparing students to take responsibility as open minded, principle citizens in a global community. Moreover by getting them involve in community service at a young age, students develop a richer perspective of the world they live in. Through this platform they not only learn to help others but develop empathy, leadership skills and realize how their actions have a positive impact. Hence every year during Christmas season as part of the community service initiative, funds are raised for charity purpose and contributions are made towards this noble cause.
✔ Commercial size water purifiers were donated to Hennur and Kothanur Government schools (2015 – 16) with the intention of providing safe drinking water facility for the children of respective schools.
✔ Audio system set with mikes, wooden cupboards and 2 slides were donated to Geddalahalli Government School and another two to Sidhartha School located at Kothanur.
✔ New clothes were given to the children of 3 government schools – Kothanur, Hennur and Narayanapura. (2016-2017)
✔ The Thanisandra Government School located in Thanisandra was donated with 8 computer table and a big slide for the children to play. (2017-2018).
✔ Students from 2 government schools and Yuvalok (a school for underprivileged children) were invited to enjoy a wide range of games and eat snacks organized by our students especially for them.
✔ Students of Hennur Government School were given school bags, steel water bottles, stationary and snacks (2018 – 2019)
